CareCore at Meadows, a respected long-term care facility in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our dedicated clinical team. About the Role As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee all aspects of clinical operations, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. You’ll be responsible for supervising nursing staff, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and driving initiatives that promote a culture of excellence, compassion, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring high standards of resident care
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families to coordinate care plans
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies
Recruit, train, and retain a skilled and compassionate nursing team
Monitor clinical performance and implement quality improvement strategies
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Participate in facility-wide strategic planning and budgeting efforts
Qualifications
Current unemcumbered RN license in the state of Ohio
Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
Strong understanding of state and federal regulations (including OBRA and CMS guidelines)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proven ability to build and maintain a motivated, high-performing clinical team
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
