Director of Media Operations

Trade Press Media Group is a dynamic B2B media company. We publish award-winning editorial content, premier events, and impactful business-building opportunities in the facilities management, commercial cleaning, rail, and meetings industries. We are seeking an experienced and solutions-oriented Director of Media Operations. A steadfast leader that is both knowledgeable about digital development, products and innovations and a visionary with the B2B Operations. This role will be responsible for the adoption of next generation solutions and applications working cross matrix with senior department leaders.
Overview This is a full-time, hybrid position in Milwaukee, WI that reports directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Department Leadership: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 4 managers and 13 team members across digital production, print production, client services, and multimedia.
Department Leadership: Support employee development through regular coaching, training, and goal-setting.
Department Leadership: Evaluate team structure and processes to improve efficiency and output quality.
Digital & Print Media Execution: Oversee day-to-day workflows and deadlines for 4 markets consisting of 7 magazines, e-newsletters, websites, webcasts, digital campaigns, and client deliverables.
Digital & Print Media Execution: Work with markets to drive revenue and customer ROI for digital products.
Digital & Print Media Execution: Develop digital products, track KPIs, reinvent existing for next generation solutions.
Digital & Print Media Execution: Use AI adoption to create department efficiencies.
Digital & Print Media Execution: Assist in pricing determination, cost and competitive analysis.
Digital & Print Media Execution: Ensure best practices in quality control, legal compliance, and brand consistency.
Digital & Print Media Execution: Oversee asset delivery, ad trafficking, and coordination with clients and vendors.
Workflow, Tools & Systems: Architect, integrate, and maintain platforms such as CMS, ad management, project management, and reporting systems.
Workflow, Tools & Systems: Streamline workflows using automation and AI-powered tools.
Workflow, Tools & Systems: Partner with IT and corporate teams to oversee usage and adoption of crm/cdp.
Cross-Functional Support: Serve as the operational engine for media kits, rate cards, event assets, and marketing campaigns.
Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with marketing, content, and events teams to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
Cross-Functional Support: Support departments with advancements and technological advancements.
Vendor & Budget Management: Oversee vendor relationships for production, print, and digital tools.
Vendor & Budget Management: Manage departmental budgets, negotiate service contracts, and assess ROI of tools and platforms.
Vendor & Budget Management: Education/guidance related to print vendors, CMS, Project Management, Ad Management/Delivery, Metrics/Reporting, Digital Engagement.
Qualifications
7+ years in media production or operations leadership, ideally within a B2B media or publishing environment.
Proven experience managing cross-functional creative and production teams.
Strong project management and systems implementation skills.
Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Omeda, AdOrbit, CMS platforms, and workflow/project management tools.
Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation Base salary and bonus options range from $120,000 to $160,000 total compensation, based on experience and qualifications.
