The Director of IT will lead and oversee the strategy, design, implementation, and management of the organization’s growing IT/OT infrastructure. This role is crucial in ensuring a robust, scalable, secure, and efficient technology environment that supports projects and business operations and drives innovation. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, deep technical expertise, and a proven track record of managing complex IT systems and teams.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic vision for IT infrastructure to align with organizational goals and objectives.
Lead and manage teams responsible for user systems (M365) networks, servers, storage, cloud services, data centers, and control centers.
Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
Build and maintain relationships with key technology vendors and partners.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in cybersecurity and data protection.
Manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and deliver cost-effective solutions.
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and automation.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT infrastructure supports overall business objectives effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, including demonstrated leadership in managing enterprise-scale IT and OT environments.
Knowledge and experience with NERC CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) standards and compliance requirements, including audits and risk mitigation.
Required Skills
Proven expertise in Designing and implementing hybrid cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
Proven expertise in Deploying and managing advanced global networks, including software-defined networking (SDN), edge computing, and multi-region architectures.
Proven expertise in Managing virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
Proven expertise in Administering enterprise network architectures, including SD-WAN, VPNs, advanced routing protocols, and global load balancing.
Proven expertise in Designing and supporting OT Infrastructure for industrial systems, such as SCADA, DCS, or other mission‑critical operational environments.
Proven expertise in Leading large‑scale migration projects such as cloud adoption, data center modernization, or network transformation.
Proficiency in automation and Infrastructure-as-Code.
Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, including Service Delivery and Change Management.
Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize IT budgets exceeding $10M annually.
Exceptional leadership skills with a history of building, mentoring, and scaling high‑performing technical teams.
Adept at fostering collaboration between IT and business units to drive innovation and achieve strategic goals.
Pay range and compensation package The anticipated salary range for this position is ($175,000-$215,000). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, bonus and/or other benefits are available.
