Director of Human Resources
Location: Greenwood Village, Colorado Salary: up to $180K
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Human Resources to lead all aspects of human resources across a multi-site industrial organization. This role will oversee the full HR function for approximately 350 employees in the U.S. and Canada, including corporate, field, and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of strategic insight, operational excellence, and strong interpersonal skills to help shape a high-performing, safety-driven, and collaborative culture.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and direction for all HR functions, including employee relations, labor relations, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, and organizational development.
Partner with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with overall business objectives and long-term growth strategies.
Lead labor and union negotiations, manage grievance procedures, and maintain productive relationships with union representatives.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and provincial employment laws and regulations, including OSHA, EEOC, and other regulatory requirements.
Oversee workforce planning and talent management across multiple locations to support current and future business needs.
Drive initiatives related to employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development.
Partner with operations and safety leaders to strengthen a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Implement effective HR systems, processes, and metrics to improve efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Coach and mentor a small HR team, building capability and professional growth within the department.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) strongly preferred.
10-15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, or mining environments.
Demonstrated experience in multi-site operations and managing both unionized and non-unionized workforces.
Proven success in labor negotiations, conflict resolution, and fostering constructive labor-management relationships.
Strong understanding of employment law, compliance, and regulatory requirements in the U.S. and Canada.
Ability to balance strategic planning with a hands-on approach to day-to-day HR management.
