POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the North America segment’s financial health and long-term growth, managing all aspects of finance and accounting, developing financial strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The main responsibilities are as follows: Financial Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve company goals. Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to assess risks and opportunities. Create and manage budgets for various departments. Develop and maintain financial models and reports.
Financial Operations: Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition and Fixed Asset Register. Manage cash flow and ensure financial stability. Supervise and manage the US finance team.
Reporting and Analysis: Supervise and coordinate statutory audit compliance both for financial reporting and ad hoc state and federal examinations Prepare regular financial reports for management and stakeholders. Analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement. Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights to management.
Strategic Decision-Making: Advise senior management on financial matters and investment opportunities. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Federal and state tax coordination Coordinate the preparation state and federal tax provision, tax returns and tax incentive scheme (e.g. R&D Tax Incentive) with external tax advisors.
Process Improvements and Maintaining Integrity of Financials: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience Proven working experience as a Director of Finance or Financial Controller 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience with proven leadership skills Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required CA or CPA preferred Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, IFRS and US GAAP Experience with creating financial statements Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process. Excellent accounting software user Previous accounting work experience in a gaming environment Knowledge & Skills Must have Microsoft Office, accounting systems, spreadsheet knowledge Microsoft Access software experience desirable Pronto (ERP) system experience desirable Excellent organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and multi-task on a regular basis Ability to prioritize and work with deadlines Ability to be flexible and adaptable Other Requirements The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming registration and must be able to work from the office. Work from home on a permanent basis is not offered for this role.
