Job Summary College of Eastern Idaho is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead the Early College division as the Director of Early College Programs. This includes management of day-to-day operations for the growing dual enrollment program, oversight of program staff & faculty, coordination with secondary partner schools, and providing access to a variety of college-level opportunities extended to high-school-age students. The Director of Early College Programs will advocate the value of dual credit as an access point for students into higher education, establish and maintain partnerships with area high schools, oversee dual credit faculty, and work with staff to ensure exceptional student services are built into program structures. The Director of Early College works closely with CEI staff, faculty, institutional leadership, and related state offices to provide students with access to advanced coursework and state funding, to ensure program quality standards, and to promote a culture of authenticity for the student experience. The successful candidate for this position will have a passion for student access and success, a proven history of effective and collaborative leadership, and a deep understanding of regional, state, and national trends and policies that impact dual enrollment. The director will report directly to the Associate Vice President of K14 & Rural Initiatives, and will represent the Early College division in leadership groups within the college and with external organizations. Supervise staff, manage outreach activities, and ensure strategic execution of departmental and institutional priorities. Build & maintain a culture that is focused on student access, authentic experience, and high-quality college-level support services. Implement and maintain standards and processes to ensure the integrity of credit earned through early college programming. Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and nations standards (e.g. NWCC, 3Y, NACEP) Manage program budgets. Use data-driven insights to refine successful practices and guide future initiatives. Build & maintain positive partnerships with high schools to increase access to dual enrollment opportunities. Coordinate with CEI departments to identify course offerings that are aligned with state guidelines, student goals, and post-secondary priorities. Coordinate with CEI departments and secondary school partners to establish curricular parity for dual enrollment coursework. Work with high school faculty and administrators to develop strategies that promote Dual Credit and encourage intentionality of offerings. Implement marketing strategies and oversee student recruitment. Oversee departmental rules and regulations and implement transparent methods of communication to message information to a variety of audiences. Track enrollment data and assess program effectiveness. Prepare annual reports. Maintain a culture of strong customer service with high communication standards. Support student success through the establishment of guided pathways from dual enrollment offerings to postsecondary education and training. Ensure coordination of matriculation efforts across CEI divisions. Manage dual credit faculty recruitment, onboarding, training, and compliance. Oversee the coordination of dual credit liaison requirements and compliance. Promote and provide discipline-specific professional development for dual credit instructors. Collaborate with CEI departments to design, operationalize and evaluate early college access points, procedures, and institutional impact. Manage the distribution and collection of MOU documents with the high schools Attend meetings and serve on institutional committees as assigned. Perform other job-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required. Masters degree preferred 3 years of progressive leadership experience demonstrated through increased responsibilities, participatory governance and/or activities Strong public speaking skills Strong written communication skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong computer and technology skills Experience with successful oversight of department budgets Experience leading successful teams Experience with successful strategic planning, deadline-sensitive implementation of processes, and/or project management Experience with successful collaboration across multiple stakeholders Ability to take initiative and work independently Ability to oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Ability to seek out, receive, and give feedback Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesnt sponsor H-1B Visas) Additional Desired Qualifications Master's Degree Experience working in a community college setting Experience working with dual enrollment programs Experience working with K12 personnel, curriculum, and standards Familiarity with NACEP and national standards Experience with empathetic approaches to conflict resolution Ability to gain and retain large amounts of knowledge across a variety of topics Bilingual (Spanish) __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Physical Demands and Work Environment: Sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, gross manipulations (involves hands), climbing, crawling, squatting, driving, stooping, crouching, climbing ramps, stairs, ladders, and standing or sitting (combination). Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. Onsite work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours. Background Investigations: Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position.
