Department of Emergency Medicine The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago, a leader in Emergency Medicine innovation, is seeking a highly motivated Physician to join an established leadership team as a full-time Assistant, Associate or Professor. The candidate will join our department in the role of Director of Clinical Operations for the UI Health Department of Emergency Medicine. Our department strives for excellence in time-sensitive care as well as significant contributions to Social Emergency Medicine; with a commitment to diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary engagement that empowers care of patients and their communities in the State of Illinois. UI Health was just designated a Magnet institution by the ANCC. The budgeted salary range for the position is $271,000 to $320,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. This position also qualifies for additional incentive compensation. The position as Director of Clinical Operations is a leadership role within the UI Health Department of Emergency Medicine. This position will: represent the department in the re-design and expansion of the UI Health Emergency Department provide leadership, operational and management oversight of the Emergency Department located at UI Health focus on clinical and service operations to ensure the ED care delivery model achieves high quality emergency care and evolves to meet the needs of our patients, department, hospital and community implement & evaluate short- and long-term strategies to improve through-put metrics, care pathways collaborate & effectively communicate with key stakeholders across the UI Health System ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation and licensing standards represent the department at the UI Health System level for all clinical operations develop and maintain the faculty clinical schedule The University of Illinois Chicago offers a very competitive benefits portfolio. Qualifications: Applicants must be an MD/DO and board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine, with preferred relevant leadership experience in the management of an emergency department in a complex academic setting.
