The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago, a leader in Emergency Medicine innovation, is seeking a highly motivated Physician to join an established leadership team as a full-time Assistant, Associate or Professor. The candidate will join our department in the role of Director of Clinical Operations for the UI Health Department of Emergency Medicine. The budgeted salary range for the position is $271,000 to $320,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. This position also qualifies for additional incentive compensation.
The position as Director of Clinical Operations is a leadership role within the UI Health Department of Emergency Medicine. This position will:
represent the department in the re-design and expansion of the UI Health Emergency Departmentprovide leadership, operational and management oversight of the Emergency Department located at UI Healthfocus on clinical and service operations to ensure the ED care delivery model achieves high quality emergency care and evolves to meet the needs of our patients, department, hospital and communityimplement & evaluate short- and long-term strategies to improve through-put metrics, care pathwayscollaborate & effectively communicate with key stakeholders across the UI Health Systemensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation and licensing standardsrepresent the department at the UI Health System level for all clinical operationsdevelop and maintain the faculty clinical schedule

Qualifications:
Applicants must be an MD/DO and board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine, with preferred relevant leadership experience in the management of an emergency department in a complex academic setting.
