We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Aquatics to lead our Aquatic programs with vision, innovation, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a passionate leader who not only brings deep expertise in aquatic facility and program management but also has the ambition to grow and elevate the department in creative ways.

Strong time management and organizational skills are essential, as the role demands juggling multiple priorities—from overseeing safety and staffing, to driving long-term development initiatives.

Pay Rate: $70,000 annually
Schedule:
Fall/Winter/Spring:
Monday: 10:00am-6:30pm
Payroll Monday (Every other Monday): 8:30/9:00am-5:00pm
Tuesday: 10:00am-6:30pm
Wednesday: 10:00am-6:30pm
Thursday: 10:00am-6:30pm
Friday: 10:00am-6:30pm
Stop in on weekends to oversee Waves at least one time per each session
Summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day):
The same schedule as above but will switch to one weekend day per week flexed out for one weekday

Bi-weekly payroll hourly and commission logs
Annual budget
Order equipment, uniforms, and all other pool supplies
Create new programming
Leading and handling all mandatory HR needs
Yearly staff reviews
Quarterly department meetings
Yearly harassment trainings
Locker audit
Signing EBC handbook
Scheduling and ensuring attendance at new employee orientation
Member Service
Respond to member inquiries about Aquatics programs
Respond to member complaints
Available to answer questions
Managerial presence at pools and on sundeck
Be approachable to members and follow up on suggestions and complaints
Respond and record comment card follow up
Be a role model for all Aquatics staff
Knowledge of rules and regulations
Resolve any problems and/or billing disputes
Teach group classes/lessons when needed
Budget
Tracking actual numbers for group and private lessons
Planning and predicting group lesson schedule and lesson numbers to set future budget
Tracking actual numbers for payroll and budget
Planning and predicting lifeguard training and schedule to future budget
Monitoring actual spending throughout the year
Kayak Department
Liaison between EBC and Wateriders owner and onsite managers to fulfill all lease agreements
Including any needed repairs of the dock or storage spaces
Coordinate with Wateriders to schedule two annual pool kayak trainings for Wateriders staff
Oversee and direct any changes to the use of this space to maintain a neat and orderly riverwalk
Confirm that rent has been received each month

Filing all Aquatics and Kayak paperwork

American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Required
American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Required
American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer Preferred
American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer Preferred
Starguard and Ellis equivalent certifications can be accepted with crossover within 90 days of hire
Strong communication and member services skills
Strong organization and administrative skills
Experience in Lifeguarding, Swim Instruction and Aquatics Management (minimum of 1-2 years in management role)
