I'm currently partnering with a well-established organization in the area that is seeking to hire a Director of Accounting. They offer a hybrid work schedule. This is a close-knit team, and while prior supervisory experience is not required, they are looking for someone who wants to be in a leadership role. Provide financial oversight for the organization and be responsible for the entire range of financial management, from daily operations to high-level management: Maintain accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and ensure compliance with Federal, State, local, and other financial, tax reporting, and regulatory requirements. Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations, and financial systems to ensure the efficient functioning and documentation of all financial transactions including payroll. Monitor monthly performance of receivables and payables to ensure compliance with the adopted annual budget and program appropriations. Prepare and present monthly financial statements, reports, and annual operating budgets to support the Company's mission of empowering survivors and advancing education and prevention efforts. Lead the annual audit process and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures throughout the organization Manage organizational cash flow, forecasting, and grant reporting, including federal, state, and foundation grants, in alignment with the Company's commitment to supporting survivors and providing comprehensive services. Collaborate with program and leadership teams to ensure timely grant proposal and report submissions, supporting the Company's diverse range of services from crisis intervention to community education. Prepare, communicate, and present financial matters to the Board, ensuring transparency and accountability in support of the Company's vision and mission Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related 8-15+ years of both nonprofit accounting and grants experience Strong system skills
