About the Role

The Company is seeking a Director, Managing Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key adviser to the business, managing and negotiating a variety of contracts for advisory, custody, operational, and technology services. This role also involves providing general legal support to the broker-dealer and registered investment adviser, advising on new product development, and regulatory risk management decisions. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of legal experience, with a focus on contracts and investment advisory and/or broker-dealer issues, and in-house experience with a broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, or at a regulatory agency. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential.

The role requires the candidate to be well-versed in legislation and rulemaking affecting business operations and to collaborate with business leaders to develop legal and regulatory best practices. The candidate should be adept at influencing and impacting business decisions and be prepared to work in a culture that values diverse perspectives and innovative solutions.
