Position Summary:
This is the opportunity to join a fast-growing startup and an energetic team that works together to deliver creative solutions that are transforming the way people think about and shop for hair and skin care. We’re looking for talented problem solvers who lead with passion and who face any task with a positive mindset.
The FP&A and Strategy Director will be a thought leader throughout the organization, playing a crucial role in internal strategic decision-making. This role will require being highly adaptable in blending quantitative analysis with cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Build, develop, maintain and optimize financial models to support supply chain and operational strategies, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with broader company objectives.
Lead the financial analysis of margin and supply chain performance, including cost of goods sold (COGS), pricing, inventory management, logistics, and working capital optimization, especially in the company-wide budgeting process and ongoing forecasting and analysis.
Define and track KPIs to ensure efficient resource allocation and continuous improvement in reporting frameworks and tools.
Drive process enhancements to drive decision-making and automate reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial insights for internal and external stakeholders.
Play a key role in investor relations activities, acting as a liaison with current and potential investors through preparing and presenting financial models, projections, and investor presentations.
Strategy
Contribute to shaping the company’s long-term strategy by identifying potential growth opportunities and analyzing their financial implications.
Evaluate investment opportunities, develop frameworks for ROI measurement, and present recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Analyze business trends and provide actionable insights to internal partners and the executive team.
Craft executive-level presentations for the Board of Directors, executive leadership team, and investors, facilitating informed decision-making.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in a highly analytical and strategic role (experience in investment banking, management consulting or high-growth e-commerce startups preferred)
Knowledge of supply chain finance and subscription-based e-commerce business model preferred
Ability to create structure out of ambiguity and boil down complexity into simple and easy-to-understand recommendations
Strategic thinker who can get into the nitty gritty while also having the bigger picture in mind
Strong financial modeling / Microsoft Excel skills
Comfort in manipulating and drawing insights out of data
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work cross-functionally, and a knack for presenting financial information in a way that others can understand easily (advanced PowerPoint and executive-level presentation skills)
Ability to work well both independently in an unstructured environment and in a dynamic environment. Experience in a startup environment a plus

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $190,000 annually (+10% discretionary bonus and equity). Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills. This role will be a hybrid position based out of our Williamsburg office and the expectation is that this person will be in the office 3 days per week.
