Overview The Corporate Account Director (CAD), Federal Healthcare, represents the KARL STORZ portfolio and develops aligned strategic account plans. The CAD works with KSEA field sales and service, along with marketing resources, to create and implement strategies that drive market share growth for KSEA products and services within all assigned Federal accounts. The hired candidate must reside in one of the following states: Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Delaware, or Rhode Island.
Responsibilities Proactively coordinate with market teams to protect KSEA position and expand all specialties within assigned federal facilities
Develop and execute strategic plans, coordinating internal stakeholders and maintaining a consistent cadence of communication and planning
Effectively gain access to decision makers and establish productive working relationships
Motivate KSEA sales, service, and marketing teams to engage and drive strategy for market share gain and revenue growth
Build strong relationships with KSEA functional areas (Sales, Finance, Service, Operations, Marketing) and provide feedback to KSEA Executive Management on activities and market conditions
Work directly with all assigned Federal accounts to develop and manage solicitations within the assigned geography
Manage KSEA Government contracts within the assigned geography
Implement data-driven strategies to achieve sales, market share, and market growth targets
Present a strong, professional image of self and KSEA in executive-level customer presentations
Cultivate and lead healthy relationships between field and internal departments for cohesive and productive business and sales initiatives with KSEA customers
Minimum Knowledge, Education and Skill Requirements Required:
Bachelor’s Degree required
A minimum of 10 years’ successful surgical endoscopy selling experience in complex environments tied to market share and revenue growth
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in or with the U.S. Federal healthcare system (e.g., Veterans Health Administration and/or Department of Defense)
Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate, influence, and build confidence, trust, and respect with key stakeholders
In-depth knowledge of current medical-device industry changes and complexities as they relate to Federal healthcare
Strong contract negotiation experience
Proven ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business goals
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in business relationships
Experience selling complex clinical capital & service solutions in a healthcare setting
Data- and experience-driven decision making to deliver market share and revenue growth; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred:
Existing relationships and a documented track record with the federal healthcare system
Experience within the KSEA organization
Experience with Salesforce
Former US Military member or Government contractor
Essential Functions Executive-level relationship building with senior stakeholders in assigned accounts
Communication and negotiation of the value proposition across the full KSEA portfolio and all business units
Coordination to drive opportunities from executive relationships down to member facilities
Industry knowledge of Federal healthcare facilities and key market drivers
Core Requirements Degree of accountability: generally independent; significant strategic decision-making
Financial/Budgetary: strong understanding of contracts
Safety: adhere to KARL STORZ safety policy
Quality: high-quality output in written and verbal communications
Supervision: individual contributor
Travel: Up to 50%
