Job Description: This position reports to the Executive Director of Workforce Development and Career Education. The primary responsibility is to lead and oversee the development and management of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing. The Director will collaborate across college departments and with external partners to expand program opportunities and develop statewide industry collaborations. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and developing goals for the program, creating business plans that include revenue sources, and leading program planning to meet community needs. The role involves analyzing employment trends, seeking grant opportunities, and developing programs focused on future jobs, living wages, career ladders, and regional needs. Programs should be deliverable on various platforms and include opportunities for internships and apprenticeships. Essential Duties: Lead professional development, training, and technical assistance to industry. Understand apprenticeship models of education. Participate in grant activities with external partners. Conduct meetings, workshops, and events to meet goals. Coordinate curriculum development with local employers' needs. Maximize enrollment and reduce time-to-completion in manufacturing programs. Develop and schedule new courses and program expansions. Manage staffing and evaluate personnel. Set program goals and coordinate marketing efforts. Engage in outreach and recruitment activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related field. 5-7 years of successful experience in workforce programs and manufacturing industry. Proven leadership in instructional program development and management. Experience working with government and industry stakeholders. Strong communication, interpersonal, and entrepreneurial skills. Track record in workforce training and development. Ability to work non-traditional hours and travel as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, preferred.
