Relocation Assistance (based on eligibility) Summary Provide overall direction and leadership for assigned clinical area on a 24-hour basis; ensure effective administrative management of clinical functions related to personnel and policy to meet the mission of patient care, education, and research within a fiscally responsible organization. Work Performed Direct and coordinate work of designated employees, manage personnel activities to meet CSU/Departmental, Hospital, and Health System objectives related to patient care. Develop strategic and operational plans for assigned clinical areas in collaboration with other administrative leadership, and evaluate these plans continuously. Develop and communicate vision for unit care delivery models and facilitate ongoing refinement. Provide developmental opportunities for direct reports. Serve as clinical operational liaison regarding policies, procedures, personnel administration, and budgetary control. Coordinate clinical operational activities to ensure adequate staffing, space, and facilities, and oversee purchasing, maintenance, and renovation activities. Ensure a safe environment of care for staff, patients, and families. Promote staff development, recruitment, and retention, and develop shared governance structures. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to manage multiple organizational missions. Facilitation, consensus-building, and negotiation skills. Sensitivity and understanding of clinical disciplines and issues. Knowledge of regulatory bodies including North Carolina Nurse Practice Act. Excellent communication skills.
