What You'll Do
Win Work Independently: Pursue and secure private-sector land development projects starting at $2M-your book of business is your launchpad.
Lead Strategic Pursuits: Own proposal development, RFP responses, presentations, and contract negotiations.
Drive Revenue: Meet or exceed annual targets-$2M+ for entry-level BD, $20M+ for senior leaders.
Build Relationships: Serve as a trusted advisor to agencies, municipalities, and private developers.
Shape Market Strategy: Focus on high-value assets like MPCs, mixed-use, commercial, and TOD projects.
Collaborate Across Teams: Influence internal stakeholders and align with the Land Development Market Leader.
What You Bring
10-15+ years in business development, with 5+ years in land development.
Proven success winning and managing large-scale private-sector projects.
Deep understanding of California's regulatory frameworks and land use environment.
Experience with residential, mixed-use, commercial, and TOD projects.
Strong communication skills and ability to lead without direct management authority.
Proficiency in CRM tools (Vision preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) is a plus.
PE or AICP certification preferred.
Compensation & Perks
Base Salary: Up to $250K, with flexibility up to $300K for candidates with a $10M+ book of business.
Work Environment: Hybrid schedule with 9/80 option (every other Friday off).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $250000.00 - $300000.00/yr.
