A Day in the Office Looks Like This:
The Sales & Marketing Director is responsible for long-term strategic planning of the Firm’s business development and marketing strategy along with brand stewardship.
Collaborates with senior leadership to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives and priorities.
Develops and executes strategic marketing plans to promote SHM Architects' services and brand in compliance and consistency with the vision of the Firm.
Identifies and pursues new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building.
Works with existing Principals to identify and respond to opportunities for business development.
Cultivates and maintains relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
Collaborates with the design teams to create compelling marketing materials, including presentations, proposals, and case studies.
Coordinates participation in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase visibility and generate leads.
Analyzes market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
Manages the firm's online presence, including website content, social media channels, and digital advertising campaigns.
Identifies, tracks, and reports on key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and inform decision-making.
Stays abreast of developments in the architectural industry and contributes insights to inform business strategy.
Recruits and manages the Sales & Marketing Department staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises other members of the Sales & Marketing team.
Work Environment
We work in a collaborative, indoor office environment at the top of the historic Meadows Building at Energy Square. This is a great location with quick access to US-75 and the Lovers Lane DART Station practically on site.
Normal work hours are 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Central Monday through Friday with one hour for lunch, but we are flexible if our business and customers’ needs remain priority \#1. There may be a need to work outside of normal work hours or weekends to meet business needs. Some local travel is required along with occasional overnight travel.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role but does require attending meetings and traveling locally. It requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, operate a keyboard, and communicate clearly and effectively on the phone, in-person, and via written communication.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, architecture, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Proven track record of success in business development and marketing roles within the architecture or design industry.
Strong understanding of architectural principles, design processes, designers, and industry trends.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a knack for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems, email marketing software, and social media management tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative problem solver with a customer-centric approach and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
