The Associate Medical Director will play a vital role in overseeing and training primary care providers (PCPs). You'll be responsible for enhancing our core model execution by improving clinical quality, efficiency, outcomes, and clinician/patient satisfaction. In this role, you will divide your time between direct patient care as a PCP and leadership duties, including performance management and building a strong synergy between clinical and operational teams. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care to patients, managing both acute and chronic illnesses in older adults. Take full responsibility for patient outcomes, coordinating with specialists as necessary while remaining actively involved in their care. Engage with hospitalist services whenever your patients are admitted. Oversee assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, and education of patients, ensuring careful documentation of care plans. Lead your care team, which includes care promoters, facilitators, and coordinators to optimize care for office-visiting patients. Collaborate with transitional care teams for patients unable to visit the office. Conduct weekly Super Huddles and Transforming Care Meetings and provide support in clinical leadership in the absence of your superiors. Cover for other providers when necessary and assist in patient recruitment efforts. Mentor and coach PCPs to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes, participating in daily huddles. Work closely with management to drive improvements in center performance and membership growth. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty required. Active MD licensure in the state of employment required. Minimum of 1-year clinical experience in a relevant practice setting preferred, ideally as part of ChenMed. Completion of Chen Medical training and development plan is a plus. Board certification in your specialty is preferred; Board Eligibility is required. Must maintain a current DEA number and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
