The Associate Director of Prescription Drug List (PDL) Strategy is vital in shaping the development of our PDLs, focusing on strategic and coverage decisions for medications across both pharmacy and medical benefits. You will collaborate with our analytic team, identifying opportunities, assessing the impact of strategic choices, and monitoring results. By working with clinical, operations, and medical teams, you will ensure alignment and execution of strategies designed to enhance affordability. Additionally, you will negotiate discounts with pharmaceutical manufacturers to promote savings.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of PDLs and related programs for the Commercial business to meet affordability and savings goals, impacting approximately 14 million covered lives.
Formulate coverage strategies for medications under the medical benefit to achieve affordability and savings, influencing around 24.5 million covered lives.
Collaborate with pharmacy benefit managers (PBM) to establish effective pricing strategies for drugs covered by both pharmacy and medical benefits.
Analyze current utilization patterns with your team, develop financial impact models for various coverage strategies, and track and evaluate outcomes related to PDL placement and utilization management.
Present PDL strategies to stakeholders, demonstrating evidence of needs or opportunities, justification for decisions, and anticipated impacts of changes.
Craft and support innovative strategies and initiatives that align with PDL and overall business objectives.

Required Qualifications:
PharmD from an accredited college or university.
Active and unrestricted pharmacist license.
5+ years of managed care and/or health plan experience.
Strong analytical expertise, including financial impact analysis using relevant data analysis tools.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Excel, including V-lookups and pivot tables.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with value-based outcomes contracting and/or health economics and outcomes research.
Background in strategy development and pharmacy coverage decisions.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to various audiences effectively.

Compensation is determined by several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401k contributions (all benefits subject to eligibility). The salary for this role ranges from $110,200 to $188,800 annually for full-time employment. We adhere to all minimum wage laws as applicable.
