The Associate Director of Prescription Drug List Strategy will spearhead the development of Prescription Drug Lists (PDLs), directing strategic coverage decisions for medications across both pharmacy and medical benefits. Collaborate with our analytic team to identify opportunities, assess the impact of strategic decisions, and monitor outcomes. Partner with clinical, operations, and medical teams to align and execute these strategies. Additionally, you'll work on securing discounts from pharmaceutical manufacturers to enhance affordability and achieve significant savings.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the development of PDLs and related programs for the Commercial business, targeting affordability and savings for approximately 14 million covered lives.
Develop coverage strategies for medications under the medical benefit, achieving affordability and savings for approximately 24.5 million covered lives.
Collaborate with the Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) to devise strategies and secure industry-leading pricing for drugs under both pharmacy and medical benefits.
Work with the analytics team to analyze current utilization patterns, model the financial impact of various coverage strategies, and track the outcomes of PDL placement and utilization management programs.
Represent PDL strategies to internal and external stakeholders, providing thorough evidence and rationale for decisions along with expected impacts.
Innovate and support strategies that enhance affordability and align with PDL and business priorities.

Required Qualifications:
PharmD from an accredited college or university.
Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license.
5+ years of experience in managed care and/or Health Plan environments.
Strong analytical skills with experience in performing financial impact analysis utilizing relevant data analysis tools.
Proficient in MS Office Excel, including V-lookups and Pivot tables.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with value-based outcomes contracting and/or health economics and outcomes research.
Track record in strategy development and pharmacy coverage decisions.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; capable of conveying complex technical information clearly to varied audiences.

Compensation for this role is influenced by various factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Along with a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive programs and a 401k contribution. Salary for this position ranges from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment.
