Reviews work. Evaluates employee performance and provides for training. Develops back-ups for critical staff functions. Establishes, enforces and reports metrics to monitor service delivery.* Hands-on involvement with select network projects (specifying equipment and installing).* Implement/enforce architectures and systems specified by Core Networking. Ensure network designs are delivering "best value". Work with staff to apply new technologies and architectures. Develop and recommend network policies. Consult with departments and committees. Negotiate with vendors.* Plans, organizes, and schedules Edge Network projects. Assigns these tasks to appropriate personnel. Develops cost, time, and performance metrics for network projects and tracks their progress to completion.* Provide leadership, guidance and development for the federated/autonomous departmental network staff. Establish, maintain and enforce campus-wide standards for Edge Network operations.* Report to Director/AVP on progress, seeking priorities and new projects. Coordinates with peers. Prepare briefings. Coordinate inter-organization tasks with other Enterprise Technology staff. Maintain Edge Network budget.* Perform other related functions as assigned.## Required Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in applicable field. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.* U.S. Citizen, resident, or officially recognized asylee - Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.* 8+ years of experience designing, deploying, configuring, and operating large scale wired and wireless networks.* Experience with Cisco wired and wireless network equipment and software.* Security design and operations experience such as HIPPA/FERPA/PCI/CUI compliance and necessary application/protocol analysis.* Experience in implementing and enforcing network policies and standards.* 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role overseeing technical teams.* Strong management and leadership skills, including coaching, consensus building, and the ability to effectively manage resources to address competing priorities.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical.* Experience negotiating and managing vendor agreements and developing and managing operating and capital budgets.## Preferred Qualifications* Experience with ServiceNow ITIL incident and task management.* Experience with network automation such as Ansible, AWX, and Zero-touch Provisioning (ZTP).* Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) or Identity based network services (IBNS).* Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery planning.* Familiarity with Software Defined Networking implementation.* Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and track projects with cost, time, and performance metrics.* Higher education work experience## Salary Range$170,000 + depending on qualifications## Working Conditions* Work is performed in a typical office environment, with the possibility of a flexible/hybrid on-campus and remote schedule.* May work around standard office conditions* Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation* Use of manual dexterity## Work Shift* Monday – Friday, flexible between 7am-6pm.
