Position Summary
Our Associate Directors participate in client teams across various service lines. Associate Directors support the execution of client deliverables facilitating seamless internal collaboration, and ensuring all work is executed in alignment with project scope, timelines, and quality standards. The Associate Director also serves as a resource to Associates, contributes to practice area thought leadership, and actively builds expertise.

Responsibilities
Client Support & Execution
Support the development and timely delivery of high-quality client materials such as fundraising decks, work plans, dashboards, prospect pipelines, prospect research, board engagement documents, and campaign strategies
Collaborate with project leadership to support the development and execution of strategic fundraising efforts
Build strong professional relationships and participate in regular client meetings
Manage milestone tracking and internal project management tasks to ensure clear communication, regular updates, and team alignment
Ensure deliverables align with the contract scope and support clients in meeting their fundraising and organizational goals
Manage Associates and interns on client teams, providing mentorship, feedback, and quality assurance
Qualifications
3-5+ years of professional experience, ideally in nonprofit development, consulting, campaign management, or philanthropy
2+ years of experience managing complex projects
Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in nonprofit management, public policy, or related field is a plus
Strong understanding of nonprofit development, including individual giving, campaign planning, donor cultivation, and stewardship
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills to foster internal and external relationships with diverse groups of people
Adept at working in fast-paced environments and balancing competing priorities
Strong planning and alignment skills within team structures and project timelines
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit
Self-starter mentality with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning
Excellent research and computing skills
Experience with Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce is preferred but not required
Additional Information
Location
Orr Group offices are located in Washington, DC, and New York City, and candidates must be based in either metropolitan area. Our hybrid policy requires staff to spend at least 60% of their working time in an Orr Group office or at client sites.
Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $70,000-$80,000, with annual bonus potential of up to $7,500.
The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision plans, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, paid holidays, and generous paid time off.
