Reporting to the Creative Director, you'll be responsible for shaping and scaling Athena's visual identity across digital, print, product, and campaigns.

What You'll Do

Own and scale Athena's visual identity

Lead the development and evolution of our visual design system-making sure it's cohesive, scalable, and adaptable across various channels, audiences, and use cases Ensure that every design asset we create, from marketing materials to product interfaces, is strategic, beautiful, and on-brand Push the boundaries of design to drive brand recognition and deepen our impact across all customer touchpoints Lead and mentor a world-class design team Build, manage, and develop a team of visual designers, brand designers, illustrators, animators, and freelancers Provide clear, constructive feedback that inspires and drives design excellence Champion a design process that balances creativity with speed, ensuring high-quality work can be delivered at scale Collaborate cross-functionally to drive business outcomes Partner with marketing, product, and growth teams to ensure that design and messaging are seamlessly integrated into every campaign, product launch, and customer interaction Translate strategic objectives into compelling, visually-driven design solutions that resonate across all channels Work closely with writers, strategists, and other stakeholders to ensure visual and written content work together to amplify our brand's story Champion design quality and impact Balance creative ambition with business objectives, knowing when to innovate and when to refine Preserve the integrity and consistency of our brand while continually pushing it forward Maintain a strong focus on the impact of design, ensuring each decision aligns with Athena's vision Your Experience 10+ years of experience in visual design, with a proven track record in senior or team lead roles A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create strong brand systems, lead creative campaigns, and execute high-quality design across mediums Expertise in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other digital design best practices Experience leading and mentoring design teams, with a focus on elevating others and fostering growth Ability to think both conceptually and systematically-zooming out to big-picture strategy and zooming in on pixel-perfect execution Background in high-growth companies or startups preferred Comfort working cross-functionally with creative, marketing, product, and engineering teams to bring designs to life
