Overview This position works within the Athletics Department team, and will focus on creation, design & strategy on all visual branding and marketing efforts for UC Santa Barbara Athletics. The Digital Elements will prioritize social media and website imagery with a focus on, but not limited to, print collateral, digital advertising and internal and external branding of the Athletics Department. This position will help drive the overall brand and messaging of UC Santa Barbara Athletics. Maintains currency with emerging technological and social media developments, and recommends activities. Works closely with the Marketing and Communications team and program staff. Adhere to the Intercollegiate Athletics design standards when creating content. Responsibilities Develop design work and other digital elements for UCSB Athletics Department, focusing on social media, website imagery, print collateral, digital advertising and branding. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team and program staff to support brand messaging and visual identity. Keep current with emerging technology and social media developments and recommend relevant activities. Ensure content adheres to Intercollegiate Athletics design standards. Qualifications AA/BA degree in communications, public relations, marketing, graphic design, journalism or related field, and two years of relevant marketing/communications experience with social media programs, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 1-3 years experience creating social media content across channels for an organization, company or institution. 1-3 years experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, content marketing and blogging.
