The Opportunity Chelsea Piers Athletic Club seeks a passionate and qualified Volleyball Club & Program Director to join our athletics leadership team. This role involves engaging with athletes, families, and external stakeholders, leading coaching staff, and overseeing a range of volleyball programs from learn-to-play camps to nationally competitive teams. The position is ideal for someone with high-level playing or coaching experience committed to youth development through sports. The club has expanded significantly, with growth in teams and athletes, and notable achievements at national competitions. As the Volleyball Club & Program Director, you will lead program development, coaching, and organizational management, including recruiting coaches, managing private lessons, and liaising with marketing and operations teams. Primary Responsibilities Develop CPVB into the region's leading volleyball program Create volleyball curricula and coaching philosophies Design youth volleyball programming for all levels Collaborate on club strategy and youth-to-club pipeline development Support coach development and foster positive team culture Conduct performance reviews for coaching staff Coaching Serve as head coach for one national and one regional team Coordinate all other teams and participate in competitions Organization Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain coaching staff Handle parent and stakeholder inquiries Oversee private lessons and manage payroll Coordinate with marketing for sales and branding Perform additional duties as assigned Additional Details Full-Time, weekdays and weekends, travel required Start ASAP Salary: $60,000-$75,000/year, plus bonus and private instruction earning potential Qualifications At least two years coaching or athletic admin experience Interest/experience in youth sports Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proven team-building success Organized, analytical, problem solver Positive attitude and team player Benefits Medical, dental, vision insurance 401(k) Club membership and discounts Subsidized daycare (availability-dependent) Paid vacation and sick leave This position is based at Chelsea Piers Athletic Club, Stamford, CT Chelsea Piers is an Equal Opportunity Employer
