About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Design and Innovation to spearhead the strategic and creative aspects of product design. This pivotal leadership role demands a visionary individual who can not only inspire and develop a design team but also ensure the brand's future is shaped by creative excellence and evolution. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and driving the product design vision, identifying new market innovations, and evolving the brand's design language. A key aspect of the role is to lead the seasonal product design strategy, balancing innovation with commercial viability, and overseeing the end-to-end design process to deliver the highest quality products to customers.
Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years' experience in footwear design, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position, and a proven track record of leading a creative team in a high-growth environment. The role requires a strong strategic mindset, deep customer curiosity, and exceptional collaboration and communication skills. The Vice President will also be responsible for team development, advocating for design resources, and ensuring cross-functional collaboration to meet product execution targets. A passion for design, innovation, and building a product-driven brand is essential, as is a deep knowledge of materials, construction, and manufacturing processes within the footwear industry.
