Job DescriptionAbbVie’s Value + Impact Office (VIO) leads the evolution of our end-to-end evidence generation strategies across the full enterprise. The VIO drives lifecycle implementation of new approaches to defining, communicating, and delivering value through framework development, pilot leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
Reporting to the Head of Value + Impact Office, the Lead will orchestrate the enterprise-wide implementation of recommendations regarding the approach to the value narrative as well as the approach to the critical evidence deliverables. Advises mitigation action for issue resolution. Proactively signals risks, challenges, and interdependencies to VIO Head. Leads consolidation of the learnings from pilots into an implementation roadmap with enterprise recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pilot workstreams in partnership with Asset Strategy Teams and senior level stakeholders to enhance value and impact for patients.
- Support Head of VIO and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment on key business decisions that enhance the value and impact for patients.
- Bring strategic and analytical thinking to answer key questions for AbbVie leveraging internal and external intelligence and resources as required.
- Ensure accurate data and metrics are represented to lead to better business outcomes.
- Report on the progress and impact of initiatives, providing regular updates to Head of VIO, senior leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate potential roadblocks and dependencies across transformation projects, ensuring seamless integration and alignment.
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required. Advanced degree preferred (PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA).
- 10+ years of drug development/commercialization experience, with experience in more than one function and as a strategy consultant a plus.
- Demonstration of high-motivation, self-driven in learning and development with strong leadership capabilities.
- Ability to utilize network effectively to drive alignment across functions and with multiple stakeholders.
- The ability to influence and provide guidance to senior leaders and to cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end drug development/commercialization.
- Understands the decision points for value creation and when to solicit input from critical functions to inform decision points across the pilot projects.
- Proven skills in navigating a highly matrixed environment and experience with formulating integrated cross functional strategies and plans.
- Exceptional communication skills, to include experience communicating and presenting effectively to senior leadership.
- Strong learning agility with recognized ability to evaluate complex issues from multiple perspectives to ensure that balanced risk assessments are made.
