As a Private Banker in the U.S. Private Bank, your responsibilities include advising families on building, preserving, and managing their wealth. You will utilize your knowledge of investments, financial planning, credit, and banking to advise current clients and acquire new ones. You will be part of a local team supported by an institutional platform with resources, specialists, and intellectual capital to help clients achieve their goals.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and maintain client relationships by earning trust, understanding client needs, providing targeted advice, developing solutions, and delivering exceptional service.
Generate business results and acquire new assets from existing clients and new prospects.
Advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including asset allocation, investment management, wealth planning, credit, and banking needs.
Partner with internal specialists to offer interdisciplinary expertise when needed.
Connect clients across all lines of business within J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
Ensure proposed solutions meet clients' needs and objectives through a holistic, goals-based planning approach.
Adhere strictly to all risk, control policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Six or more years of experience in Private Banking or Financial Services.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Series 7, 66, and Insurance licenses required; candidates without licenses considered but must obtain them within 90 days of start.
Proven sales success and strong business acumen.
Strong community presence with an established network.
Understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit, and banking concepts.
Focus on client experience and dedication to client interests.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
MBA, JD, CFA, or CFP preferred.
Proactive, takes initiative, and demonstrates critical thinking.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, credible professional demeanor.
Strong organizational skills with a disciplined approach.
In-depth knowledge of equity, fixed income markets, and alternative investments such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and Real Estate.
