Position Overview
We are seeking a highly scientific and strategically driven US Medical Director, Immunology to join our dynamic and fast-paced US Medical Affairs team. This strategic role will shape and execute the US scientific narrative around the mechanism of action (MOA) of Nemolizumab in atopic dermatitis (AD) and prurigo nodularis (PN). The ideal candidate will bring deep immunology expertise, a strong medical communication/publications and data generation track record, and an ability to translate complex science into impactful medical strategies and communication.

Key Responsibilities: In close collaboration with the US Immunology Medical Affairs leadership team, you will focus on the following:
Lead and articulate the IL-31-driven MOA of Nemolizumab to US audiences with scientific clarity and strategic depth.
Lead and provide deep scientific interpretation of emerging MOA/MOD datasets, identifying scientific implications and opportunities for external communication narratives.
Drive the development of a cohesive IL-31 immunology narrative, aligning field communications, training, and HCP engagement.
Collaborate with translational research and clinical Development to translate complex immunological data into clear, effective communications.
Lead post hoc analyses in collaboration with global med affairs to address key clinical and mechanistic questions for US healthcare providers in AD and PN.
Guide abstracts, posters, and manuscript development, ensuring scientific rigor and alignment with global med affairs and brand objectives.
Identify and address evidence gaps relevant to US allergists, dermatologists, and NP/PA audiences.
Partner with US and global colleagues to engage KOLs and HCPs, delivering aligned, high-impact scientific content.
Support and refine the US site engagement strategy for phase 2 indications.
Act as a key internal resource for Nemolizumab’ s scientific platform, enabling clear and effective cross-functional communication.
Drive alignment, engagement and content development with key opinion leaders (KOLs)
Attain deep scientific and clinical knowledge of Nemolizumab through critical review of clinical study reports and integrated summaries of safety and efficacy. Serve as a key internal resource for scientific and product expertise
Oversee the creation and updates of scientific and educational resources, including: Core slide decks, FAQs/standard response documents, Training materials and Scientific publications
Ensure all content adheres to regulatory, compliance, and corporate standards while maintaining scientific excellence in alignment with global med affairs objectives.
Manage external vendors and medical writers to ensure timely, consistent, and high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications & Competencies
Advanced degree - PhD in Immunology or a closely related biomedical field is required
Deep scientific knowledge of immune pathways related to dermatology or allergic disease is required
Minimum 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs and/or Medical Communications within pharmaceutical/biotech industry is required. Experience in strategy development on immune based products is a highly desired
Demonstrated experience with MOA development, data interpretation, and scientific communication strategy is required
Demonstrated experience with immune-modulating therapies or dermatology/immunology pipelines required with strong preference for candidates with expertise in dermatology, immunology, or allergic diseases
Strong publication history and/or experience developing scientific narratives for field teams from complex concepts.
Experience driving medical initiatives from concept through execution is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute medical strategies and clearly communicate complex scientific concepts to physician audiences.
Familiarity with US regulatory landscape and compliance standards.
Ability to synthesize and communicate complex scientific data for diverse audiences.
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and agility in a fast-moving environment.
Outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills; proven cross-functional team player.
Strong project management and organizational abilities, able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Ability to travel for key congresses and within field visits
