Director Of Nursing - Nursing Director/DON -
Very Experienced DON Role
Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of long-term care (LTC) experience, including either: Director of Nursing (DON) or other leadership experience, or A combination of supervisory roles with several recent years as a DON
Weekend rotation: Rarely, depending on call offs; will have weekend call (rotates every 5th shared with Resident Care Managers)
On call? Every other weekend all weekend (rotates every 5th shared with Resident Care Managers
Will you accept a first-time traveler? No
Required Certifications: Current Montana RN License or a multi state compact license
Masters in Nursing, healthcare administration, business or related field highly preferred. 
BLS, ACLS preferred
Must have hands-on experience with: CMS regulations and development/implementation of Plans of Correction Managing through change with demonstrated stability in leadership
Skilled nursing care and immediate care Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
Creating and executing quality plans and continuous improvement strategies
LTC experience, experience with surveys, working with administrators, communicate and enforce regulations, engagement with staff, leading advisory councils, creating staff schedules, MDS completion, leadership skills, conflict resolution, coaching, patient/staff rounding, knowledge with Montana LTC regulations (preferred)This position provides clinical oversight to the patient care team on the assigned area(s). The leadership shall be rendered in an effective manner that is consistent and aligned with the core values, mission, ethics, policies and procedures of facility. RNs/LPNs/CNAs/Unit Clerks4 Resident Care Managers staff and resident care management as well as MDSHR business partner and Talent Acquisition Nursing Home Administrator Medical Director (great relationship with providers) Infection Prevention/Staff development - additional support from facility Education department and Infection Prevention SW team (3) Scheduler to help with nurse staffing In house therapy team supervisor, PT/OT/ST, restorative aides
Activities department including 2 resident dogs Business Office, Medical Records Transport/Medical Supply Team Housekeeping team in house Plant Operations/Maintenance team in house and on call from facility for after hours Consultant pharmacist from facility Dietician and nutrition services team from facility Information Systems support through facility
EMR: PCC, Meditech and Caretracker (PCC new since November 2024)
HR Platform: Workday API for scheduling and timekeeping
Event reporting: Safety Zone and PCC Risk Management
Holiday Expectations: only in the event of staff call outsWill need to orient to cover direct patient care on the floor if neededCentralized Scheduling and House Supervisor support available fromfacility as able
Scrub Color: any color if taking a patient assignment or business casual for daily DON duties
