RNFA's are highly trained and skilled in surgical procedures, and they have completed additional education and certification to qualify for this role. They work under the supervision of a surgeon, and their responsibilities can include positioning the patient, preparing the surgical site, handling instruments, providing tissue retraction, and suturing incisions.
