Overview The City of Mesa is seeking an innovative, strategic, and dynamic leader to serve as its next Transportation Department Director. This executive-level role oversees a $57.6M operating budget, nearly 200 personnel, and implementation of Mesa’s bold 2050 Transportation Master Plan—a roadmap designed to enhance mobility, safety, and connectivity for one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities. The Director will lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for traffic engineering, multimodal planning, operations, and infrastructure maintenance. This highly visible position works closely with City leadership, regional partners, and the community to deliver a safe, efficient, and forward-thinking transportation network. Responsibilities Oversee the Transportation Department’s budget, staffing, and operations to align with Mesa’s 2050 Transportation Master Plan. Lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for traffic engineering, multimodal planning, operations, and infrastructure maintenance.
