Position Overview: At Itzy Ritzy, we make modern baby and parenting essentials with heart, style, and trend. We’re looking for a Toy Design Director to help shape the future of Itzy Ritzy’s toy line — someone who blends creative vision, current trends, play and function with deep technical expertise across soft goods and plastic toy design.

Our mission is to create safe, stylish, and functional solutions for new parents around the world. We are seeking a dedicated Toy Design Director to join our dynamic team to take us to the next level in the infant and toddler toy category.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of infant toys from concept to shelf — soft goods, plastics and electronics
Create innovative toy lines that blend the retailer needs, parent values and infant development, while meeting costing targets and timelines
Integrate sensory play and engaging, developmental features into trend-forward formats and themes.
Mentor junior designers and manage outside design resources
Collaborate with product development team, marketing, sales and overseas factories to bring on-brand collections to life that meet company growth goals
Research toy, nursery and parenting trends, transforming insights into Itzy Ritzy bestsellers
Ensure every toy meets safety and quality standards
Lead creatively while staying hands-on
Qualifications
10+ years in toy or juvenile product design, spanning soft, plastic, and electronic toys for mass market retailers
Amazing portfolio that showcases the ability to bring product lines from concepts to production
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and costing with overseas factories.
Experience managing internal and external designers
Excellent visualization skills — digital, hand sketching and AI
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D tools like SolidWorks or Rhino
A collaborative spirit and a love for imaginative, detail-driven design
