Technical Sales Director - Aerospace Tooling Location: Huntington Beach, CA | Travel Required: 5075% We're hiring a Technical Sales Director for a Southern California-based aerospace manufacturer developing patented tooling solutions used by top MROs, OEMs, and military programs. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in aircraft structural maintenance who is looking to move into a more strategic, customer-facing position. You will serve as the bridge between product and customer: conducting live tool demonstrations, supporting customer onboarding, and working closely with engineering and leadership to drive adoption in the field. This is not a cold-calling sales role. We're looking for someone who can speak the of the hangar and bring technical credibility into every conversation. Key Responsibilities Deliver in-person product demonstrations at customer sites (MROs, OEMs, government depots, etc.) Support technical onboarding, training, and day-to-day customer interactions Act as a consultative partner to users and supervisors on the floor Provide real-time feedback to engineering on product usage and customer needs Manage relationships with key accounts and serve as a frontline resource for the sales team What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in aircraft structural maintenance, ideally with sheet metal, heavy checks, or airframe repair A&P license but not required Prior leadership (Lead, Supervisor, or Trainer) or customer interaction experience Strong communication skills and professional presencecomfortable speaking to both technicians and managers Willingness to travel 5075% of the time Experience in a Part 145 repair station, military aviation, or business jet service environment is a strong plus Why This Role This is a unique opportunity to step out of the hangar and into a high-impact, field-based role where your hands-on experience becomes your greatest asset.
