Overview Large leading employer company located in central Denver is seeking a Tax Director to join their team! The company is privately held with complex partnerships. The company is acquisitive and also looking at new opportunities in new markets to grow the company. Director-Tax will manage all aspects of the Company’s accounting for income taxes, regulatory reporting, U.S. Federal and state income tax compliance, planning and strategy. This role will interact with senior finance leaders of the organization and be the liaison with multiple levels of management and staff to coordinate the flow of information between various functions, while also providing leadership, guidance and assistance for tax-related issues for the Company.

Responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for review of all Tax Compliance for complex Partnership tax with multiple entities Help minimize tax risks associated with IPOs, mergers, acquisitions, and other business dealings Manage quarterly and year-end accounting and reporting for income taxes ASC 740 Implementation of new tax accounting pronouncements Maintain ownership of tax internal controls Manage preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local income tax returns and projections Review selected complex partnership, corporate and information tax returns Manage all aspects of regulatory reporting Manage all tax audits and lead in the analysis and resolution of all complex tax issues Prepare internal memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, private letter rulings and other documents for submission to the IRS or Treasury Department. Identify and drive process improvement projects within the corporate tax function Supervise and collaborate with outside tax advisors on various projects, as required Provide leadership, communication, education, mentoring and coaching to finance tax professionals Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully. Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance. Will work non-traditional hours as needed. Process improvement The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of Tax experience in public accounting or public and industry. Will also consider industry experience. Strong Partnership Tax is a must! Bachelors and Masters degree in Accounting or Finance or Tax CPA Strong accounting and analytical skills Proven ability to effectively lead, manage and develop a team of direct reports Must demonstrate business-oriented approach to communicating taxes and tax planning, and be able to effectively communicate with and influence non-tax business leaders Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail Proven ability to lead projects and manage critical timelines Adaptable and comfortable with change Growth mindset Willingness to learn and take initiative Salary/Benefits Excellent benefits package and compensation package including salary of $150,000-260,000 DOE plus Bonus, Very Generous Matching 401k, Medical, Dental, Vision, Education, Parental leave and much more.
