We are seeking an experienced and strategic Tax Director to lead our corporate tax function. The Tax Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, tax planning, and tax strategy to ensure the organization meets its financial and regulatory obligations efficiently and ethically. This role will serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on tax matters and will manage both internal tax operations and relationships with external advisors and tax authorities.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all corporate tax functions, including federal, state, local, and international tax compliance. Develop and implement tax planning strategies that align with business objectives and minimize tax liability. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and related documents. Manage tax audits and represent the company in dealings with tax authorities. Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with GAAP and IFRS (if applicable). Collaborate with accounting, legal, and business units to understand and analyze tax implications of new business initiatives, M&A, restructurings, and international expansion. Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the organization. Develop and maintain internal controls for tax processes to ensure compliance and reduce risk. Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and consultants as needed. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Masters in Taxation or JD/LLM preferred. CPA certification required. Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations. Experience with corporate tax provision processes (ASC 740). Proven ability to develop and execute tax strategies that support business goals. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex tax matters to non-tax professionals. Preferred Skills: Experience in tax work with HNWI's/Entertainment clients or the Business Management Industry
