Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver essential patient care and operational support within the operating room environment located in La Mesa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere strictly to healthcare policies and ethical standards, ensuring patient safety and compliance with attendance protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date licensure, certifications, and mandatory training including TB testing, safety, compliance, and HIPAA requirements.
- Provide expert care to OR patients by anticipating and fulfilling procedural needs, assisting with dressings and cast applications as required.
- Follow physician preference cards precisely to support case preparation and execution.
- Document accurately, including surgical counts and updating surgeon preference cards, while reporting any discrepancies.
- Proactively identify challenges and implement solutions to improve department effectiveness and quality of care.
- Engage in additional shifts and assume responsibilities beyond routine duties, contributing to process improvements and cost efficiency.
- Participate in the education and training of peers as part of ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license with ORT experience.
- Strong understanding of operating room procedures and sterile techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced surgical team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and regulatory compliance.
