Position Summary Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directing and evaluating departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Planning and monitoring staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Preparing, monitoring, and evaluating departmental budgets, and ensuring the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
Coordinating and directing internal/external audits.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.
