Position Overview

We are partnering with a respected 51-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Luverne, MN, to hire a dedicated Director of Nursing (DON). This is a direct hire opportunity, and the candidate will be employed directly by the facility. The ideal candidate is an experienced nurse leader who thrives in a collaborative, resident-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all nursing operations within the facility.
  • Oversee nursing staff performance, scheduling, and development.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality resident care.
  • Maintain quality assurance programs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Required License: Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact eligible).
  • Leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Hiring Wage: $38.00 – $63.00/hour (Salaried/Exempt)
  • Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 total, paid in increments:
    • $5,000 at 6 months
    • $5,000 at 12 months
    • $5,000 at 18 months
    • $5,000 at 2 years
  • Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
