You are an accomplished investor relations professional with a passion for biotechnology and oncology innovation. You excel at crafting clear, compelling messages for the investment community, managing key investor expectations on company and pipeline progress and are equally comfortable engaging with investors, analysts, and internal stakeholders. You bring deep financial and capital markets expertise combined with the ability to translate complex clinical and scientific information into meaningful narratives. You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and are energized by the opportunity to shape and communicate a company’s growth story.
Responsibilities
Investor Relations Strategy & Messaging
Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with BBOT’s corporate and clinical goals.
Craft and deliver high-impact investor communications, including corporate presentations, press releases, FAQs, and earnings-related materials.
Ensure consistency and clarity of all investor-facing messages, integrating both scientific and financial developments.
Manage investor and analyst expectations through a pragmatic, consistent and clear communication plan, integrating scientific, corporate, and financial developments.
Investor Engagement & Events
Act as a primary point of contact for analysts, investors, and financial stakeholders.
Lead the planning and execution of investor events, including roadshows, conferences, analyst days, and quarterly calls.
Build and maintain strong relationships with buy-side and sell-side communities.
Market Intelligence & Analysis
Monitor industry trends, peer company activities, and investor sentiment to provide strategic insights to leadership.
Track analyst models, shareholder composition, and consensus estimates, delivering regular reports to the CFO and Board.
Financial & Clinical Disclosure Support
Partner with Finance, Legal, and Clinical teams to support the development of earnings releases, SEC filings, and clinical data communications.
Collaborate on capital markets strategies, including potential financings and investor targeting initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
8+ years of experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or corporate finance, ideally within biotech or pharmaceuticals.
Strong understanding of oncology, clinical development, and regulatory milestones.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific and financial information into concise, impactful messages
Proven track record of cultivating relationships with institutional investors and analysts.
High proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and capital markets.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within a clinical-stage biotechnology or oncology company.
Established relationships with buy-side and sell-side analysts in the biotech/pharma sector.
Familiarity with SEC disclosure requirements and public company communications.
Advanced knowledge of scientific and clinical trial data interpretation and presentation.
Ability to effectively manage complex, cross-functional projects under tight deadlines.
Salary
The annual salary range for this position is $235,000 - $290,000 in the San Francisco Bay Area. BBOT considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, skills, education, qualifications, and geographic location. Actual compensation will vary, and it is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
