Position Summary:
In the position of Sr. Director S&OP & Inventory Optimization, you will work cross functionally across multiple business units leading cross-functional teams to drive growth, productivity, and efficiency. Spearhead the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process, strategic transformations, operational improvements, inventory optimization, and continuous improvement projects. Lead though direct and indirect leadership, collaboration with sales, marketing, demand planning, product availability, inventory control, operations, and manufacturing teams. Shape the S&OP process, evaluating and improving the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, implementing supply chain inventory strategies, facilitate process improvements, and provide strategic advice and counsel on key business decisions across the organization.
Essential Job Functions:
Serve as a key member of leadership and contribute to the development and execution of the Sales and Operations Planning team, while leading and executing operational and organizational strategies and plans.
Provide clear ownership and drive accountability for both operational targets and business results by facilitating and driving the S&OP process to balance supply and demand, while ensuring that the company's operational activities support its business goals.
Develop, implement, and lead cross functional sales and operations execution (S&OE) processes that support and align with the S&OP process.
Lead cross-functional inventory optimization efforts that enable our supply chain to adapt and scale to accommodate business growth, removing barriers and mitigating risks that impact inventory carry cost, while ensuring customer, operational and business needs are met.
Work cross functionally to design, model, and optimize inventory across the supply chain network to ensure the right product is in the right place, at the right time at the lowest landed cost.
Assist as needed in the development and execution of ongoing supply chain network optimization and process improvements, resulting in a fast-paced, lean supply chain.
Assist in the change management process by leading Organizational Change Management (OCM) discussions and supporting process improvement initiatives (i.e., technological advancements) through Kaizen facilitation and other continuous improvement events.
Establish and support a continuous improvement culture, identifying opportunities to teach and utilize Lean tools and principles to improve sales and operational collaboration, improve forecast, demand planning, SKU rationalization, and improve material cost through network optimization.
Build, activate, and optimize capabilities to support excellence in planning and execution of operational, commercial, and functional excellence.
Regularly reviewing and refining IBP processes and assisting in the implementation of new IBP tools, processes, and methodologies, managing change effectively and addressing resistance from stakeholders.
Position Requirements:
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Supply Chain Management, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, or related field.
Additional Experience Desired: More than 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Strategy and Inventory Control
Additional Experience Desired: More than 10 years of experience in Continuous Improvement
Computer Skills Desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, MS360, BI
Preferred Certifications: Six Sigma certifications desired. Be adept in continuous improvement toolsets.
Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Must be able to work cross functionally and relate to complex strategic supply chain solutions, influence, collaborate, delegate, and provide leadership.
Base Salary Range: $138,750 - $185,000
