As the Sr. Director, Product Management - Global Shipping, you will be joining the eBay Services Product Organization, which spans all eBay revenue-driving product lines, including Global Shipping, Payments & Financial Services, Advertising, B2C & Stores, and Monetization. Together, these businesses are core to eBay’s strategy of delivering relevant, scalable, and magical experiences for our global community of millions of buyers and sellers while driving eBay’s long-term sustainable growth. This role will report directly to the VP of Product for eBay Services. Shipping is poised to become the next major growth engine for our marketplace, following the success of Ads and Financial Services. This is a highly visible opportunity to shape a strategic pillar of the business with impact across our customer base, executive leadership, and board-level priorities.This is a highly cross-functional and strategic leadership role with global impact, and offers a rare opportunity to lead transformative product innovation at the core of a global commerce ecosystem. As the Sr. Director of Global Shipping, you will be a strategic product leader defining and delivering the vision for global shipping and logistics across one of the world’s largest and most dynamic eCommerce platforms. In a marketplace without owned inventory, your role is pivotal in architecting the logistics and post-purchase experience that connects millions of buyers and sellers—reliably, affordably, and at scale. You will lead a global team of product managers to define and develop solutions spanning carrier integrations, delivery experience, tracking, label solutions, reverse logistics, international logistics, and cost optimization. You’ll collaborate closely with Commercial, Regional, Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Analytics, Operations, Legal, Policy, and other teams —while serving as a counterpart for the Shipping commercial organization—to translate our shipping strategy into elegant and highly scalable solutions. What You Will Be Working On: Create Product Strategy Own the end-to-end product vision across the global shipping experience—from domestic to international delivery, from shipping labels to return logistics.
Define and evolve a data-driven, customer-informed product strategy that supports the eBay business and delights both buyers and sellers.Leverage data and research to prioritize high-impact opportunities and continuously improve product performance, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
Drive customer-centric innovation for both buyers and sellers, solving for speed, cost, reliability, and trust in the delivery experience.
Serve as the product voice in executive forums, representing progress, risks, and strategic trade-offs to leadership.
Design a Multi-Year Roadmap and Deliver Outcomes Develop a multi-year roadmap to drive shipping consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure product plans align with business goals, carrier network partnerships, and evolving regulatory requirements.
Translate strategy into a well-sequenced roadmap that drives measurable impact.
Obsess Over User Experience and Service Quality Advocate for the voice of the customer—sellers and buyers alike—across all shipping touchpoints.
Embed user research and analytics into the development process.
Partner closely with design and operations teams to refine and elevate every step of the shipping journey, from fulfillment and tracking to delivery and returns.
Pioneer AI in logistics: Conceptualize and launch innovative AI/ML driven models to dramatically improve the accuracy of our delivery promises and optimize shipping costs.
You will be at the nexus of technology, logistics, and data science, shaping a product portfolio that delivers reliability, speed, and efficiency at a global scale.
Break Down Silos & Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration Be the unifying force across eBay’s shipping ecosystem. Establish strong relationships with teams across product domains (e.g., Listings, Checkout, Post-Sale), design, operations, trust, analytics, customer service, and global markets.
Enable seamless collaboration to unlock value across eBay’s vast global network.
Empower Teams to Prioritize & Deliver with Speed Establish clear product development processes that foster execution velocity, transparency, and accountability. Instill a culture of hypothesis-driven experimentation, rapid iteration, and strong program coordination.
Proactively identify and unblock delivery challenges through partnership with engineering and program management.
Build & Inspire a High-Performing Product Organization Hire, lead, and grow a world-class team of product managers.

Champion product thinking at all levels and help evolve the broader eBay product discipline.
What We Are Looking For: 15+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years at the leadership level leading platform-scale products.
Deep experience in eCommerce, shipping/logistics, supply chain tech, or marketplace businesses strongly preferred.
Proven ability to deliver customer-loved, data-informed products in complex, highly scaled environments.
Relentless customer empathy—and commitment to building intuitive, reliable, and efficient experiences.
Strong technical acumen and ability to partner effectively with engineering and operations to bring scalable solutions to market.
Demonstrated excellence in cross-functional collaboration—especially with engineering, operations, design, analytics, marketing, legal, and finance.
A strategic thinker who can balance speed, cost, quality, and scalability in complex trade-off decisions.
Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle, with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Track record of building, leading, and mentoring world-class product teams.
Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
10+ years of people management experience, with a passion for coaching and growing high-performing, diverse teams.
Comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels; able to switch seamlessly between big-picture vision and detailed execution.
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: $250,000 - $333,800 Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
