This role reports to the Commercial Vice President, TA Instruments, and manages supervisors and employees in Sales and Regional Marketing/Demand Generation. Responsibilities include developing commercial strategy, overseeing sales and marketing activities, managing teams, and ensuring achievement of business targets. The position can be based anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities

• Develop a 3-year commercial strategy aligned with TA's goals.
• Create accurate sales forecasts and performance goals.
• Manage staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
• Engage with key clients and support sales negotiations.
• Oversee Commercial Marketing and inside sales activities.
• Lead the direction of Field Scientific operations.
• Optimize processes and control expenditures.
• Analyze market and competitor activities.
• Deliver sales presentations and represent the company at trade events.
• Assign territories and develop compensation plans.
• Participate in product development and marketing strategies.
• Build and develop a high-performing team.
• Utilize data tools like SFDC and Power BI for decision-making.
• Establish and manage project goals.
• Communicate expectations, manage performance, and develop organizational talent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years managing technical sales teams.
• Strong commercial strategy and forecasting skills.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation industry is preferred.
• Leadership skills fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and manage change.
• Effective public speaking skills.

The base pay ranges from $191,500 to $255,000 annually, depending on various factors.
