Overview In the midst of a materials revolution, innovation is moving forward at an unprecedented speed. TA Instruments and Waters are working together to support markets and measurements for demanding applications, providing instrumentation that is unparalleled in performance, precision, and versatility. This role, reporting to the Commercial Vice President, manages sales and regional marketing teams, overseeing strategy, planning, and execution to meet product and quarter targets. The position can be based anywhere in the US.

Typical Tasks

Develop a 3-year commercial strategy aligned with TA's goals.

Create accurate sales forecasts and performance goals.

Manage staffing, training, performance evaluations, and talent development.

Engage with key clients, support sales representatives, and negotiate deals.

Oversee Commercial Marketing and inside sales activities.

Direct Field Scientific operations in alignment with customer needs.

Optimize processes and control expenditures.

Monitor competitors and deliver sales presentations.

Represent the company at trade meetings and develop sales territories.

Review market analyses and participate in product development discussions.

Build and develop a high-performing team, using data to inform decisions.

Manage project goals and communicate expectations effectively.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in science, engineering, or technology; MBA or master's preferred.

10+ years managing technical sales teams.

Strong strategic, forecasting, and leadership skills.

Experience in analytical instrumentation industry preferred.

Excellent communication and change management skills.

Base salary ranges from $191,500 to $255,000, depending on experience and location.
