Sr. Director - Client Engagement role at Stanford Health Care.
This is a 1.0 FTE full-time leadership role within Stanford Medicine's enterprise marketing management team. The position focuses on building long-lasting relationships with stakeholders across Stanford Health Care, Stanford Medicine Partners and Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley, protecting the Stanford Medicine brand as a trusted source for education, research and clinical care.
This is an opportunity for a candidate with a track record of demonstrated results, team leadership, and influential relationships who can provide strategic direction, mentor the team, have an active voice with clients, and contribute to Stanford Medicine's marketing success.
What You Will Do
- Nurture teams to build effective, valued relationships with key stakeholders across Stanford Medicine by providing leadership, education, marketing direction and knowledge-based recommendations.
- Advance the use of market research, financial data (as available) and other clinical operation reports to ensure marketing efforts align with business needs and dynamic market conditions.
- Use analytical expertise to assess/monitor data and campaign performance.
- Ensure clear communication and effective collaboration between Marketing and other departments.
- Guide, inspire and coach team members to help them achieve their professional goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enable consistent application of the Stanford Medicine brand and ensure seamless utilization of clinical content across channels.
- Understand the goals and strengths of the Stanford Medicine brand and build a highly collaborative partnership with clinical and operational leaders across Stanford Medicine.
- Partner with Marketing to share Book of Business (BoB) knowledge, including priorities, differentiators, patient and customer benefits and business KPIs.
- Develop relationships at senior levels of executive management and faculty leadership to ensure Marketing is recognized for expertise, knowledge, and results.
- Oversee the management of a high-performing PMO, ensuring project deadlines are met within budget and on target using program and project management tools.
- Manage and contribute to the annual Marketing budget.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve results, providing subject matter expertise, leadership and influence to gain alignment and identify process improvements, operational efficiencies and industry best practices.
Experience & Qualifications
- Successful integrated marketing leader with the ability to envision big ideas and execute them.
- Proven client credibility—ability to set and manage expectations and push back when needed.
- Strong execution focus, balancing relationship-building with business needs; capable of selling the work with a compelling vision and informed POV backed by rationale.
- Ten (10) years of progressive responsibility with at least eight (8) years in a supervisory role.
- Hospital and/or healthcare experience preferred.
- Clinical operations and/or revenue and finance background helpful.
