We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support specialty network operations and strategy. This role is critical to ensure Optum manages an effective and optimized network. It will involve working with local markets to deploy nationally aligned priorities, supporting local performance management across targeted high priority opportunities, and partnering with analytics to build high-impact reporting. Youll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance preferred partner and clinical pathway utilization across Optum Health
- Collaborate with executive leadership in markets and shared services teams to deploy specialty priorities
- Set annual targets then drive performance and accountability with matrixed partners
- Design innovative new programs and incentives to improve patient care journey and network performance
- Analyze data to identify trends and targeted opportunities for performance improvement in the specialty network
- Build business cases for investment and conduct ROI analysis on new initiatives
- Design and present slide decks to executive leaders to support strategic decision-making and performance management
- Lead a team of two professionals
- Perform special projects and ad hocs as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in specialty network management, managed care, care delivery operations, or a similar role
- 4+ years of experience managing multiple projects/tasks to meet time sensitive commitments
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience working in a highly matrixed environment
- 1+ years of demonstrated experience managing a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated solid analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated highly organized with solid attention to detail
- Drivers License and access to a reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare network strategy
- Experience working with Product teams
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies
- Experience in provider relations, engaging directly with PCPs or specialists
- Experience working with external or contracted vendors
- Ability to influence and work with C-Suite Executives and Senior Leadership on strategic decisions
All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Groups Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
