Overview Base pay range: $141,200.00/yr - $338,500.00/yr Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to lead a critical Networking Initiative. The role involves strategy, design, delivery, and operational excellence of essential infrastructure components. You will lead a high-caliber team, guiding objectives through strong leadership, talent development, and resource optimization. This position requires a seasoned professional who embodies OCI values and can navigate complex challenges to deliver exceptional outcomes. You will provide leadership to multiple teams responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure projects within OCI, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and a focus on long-term infrastructure stability and scalability. You will mentor and develop team members to foster continuous learning and professional growth. You will play a pivotal role in talent development, lead by example in identifying and nurturing talent, and engage in regular career development discussions to support the professional growth of each team member. Your advocacy for OCI values will foster a sense of purpose and commitment across the team. In terms of performance management, you will establish clear, measurable goals for individuals and the broader team, monitor progress, assess performance, and maintain accountability at all levels. Your decisions will influence both your team and other teams within OCI, contributing to the success of critical infrastructure projects and the resilience of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Responsibilities Apply extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks related to developing, debugging, or designing software applications, operating systems, and databases according to current and future design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision improvements to the architecture. Qualifications A BS or MS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in people management, with a proven track record in managing large-scale critical service. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, resource management, and performance optimization in a technology-driven environment. Exceptional decision-making abilities with experience influencing senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Strong background in recruiting, developing, and leading senior individual contributors (ICs) and building high-performing teams. Ability to make decisions that significantly impact the organization’s infrastructure with implications for revenue and long-term operational success. Experience in Networking and Cloud Infrastructure Operations. Experience in managing a large-scale critical service in a cloud computing environment. Expertise in Distributed Systems, Network Operating Systems, Network Orchestration and Controller.
