YOUR ROLE We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Site Director to lead the operations of a 1M+ sq. ft. contract logistics operations in McCordsville, IN. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and customer-focused day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in logistics or supply chain management, a commitment to operational excellence, and the ability to lead large, diverse teams. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO Operational Leadership & Execution Oversee all daily warehouse and logistics activities to ensure operational targets are consistently met across productivity, service, quality, and cost. Manage inbound, outbound, inventory control, and value-added services to ensure timely and accurate processing. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain workflow consistency and compliance. Ensure efficient layout, labor planning, and equipment utilization for optimal throughput and space usage. Strategic Planning & Execution Lead the execution of long- and short-term operational strategies aligned with company goals and client requirements. Analyze business data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities in performance and efficiency. Collaborate with senior leadership on capital planning, technology deployment, and capacity forecasting. Team Leadership & Workforce Planning Manage a diverse workforce across multiple shifts, including hourly, supervisory, and managerial staff. Lead talent development initiatives to build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement. Drive staffing plans to support volume changes while controlling labor costs. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the primary liaison between the facility and key client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, issue resolution, and performance alignment. Support client audits, business reviews, and reporting requirements. Performance Management Monitor and improve KPIs such as on-time performance, order accuracy, inventory integrity, safety, and productivity. Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to drive sustainable gains. Safety, Compliance & Quality Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations across all operations. Foster a culture of safety through training, hazard identification, and incident investigation. Oversee quality assurance programs to maintain service levels and reduce error rates. Technology & Systems Champion the effective use of WMS, TMS, and other digital tools to drive data accuracy, automation, and visibility. Partner with IT and engineering to support system implementations and process digitization efforts. Financial Oversight Manage site P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis. Identify and implement cost savings and margin improvement initiatives. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution environments. Experience leading large-scale operations with 500+ team members. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and performance optimization. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding operational KPIs and client expectations. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and change management skills. Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
