Our engineering team powers both our customer-facing eCommerce platform and our operational systems for fulfillment, supply chain, and inventory management. The systems you lead will directly shape customer experience, operational efficiency, and our ability to scale.
The Role You’ll lead engineering across frontend, backend, and infrastructure , while partnering closely with Product, Operations, and future Data Science teams to deliver high-impact technology solutions. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role — you’ll set the technical vision, coach and mentor engineers, and still dive deep into architecture and system design when needed.
What You’ll Do
Technical Leadership Lead and grow engineering teams working in: Frontend: React + JavaScript for customer-facing web and mobile experiences. Backend: Node.js, Python, and PHP services powering eCommerce workflows, personalization, payments, and order management. Infrastructure: GCP cloud environment, GitHub Actions for CI/CD Drive architectural decisions for scalable, secure systems across both eCommerce and warehouse/supply chain operations (ERP, WMS, internal tools). Evaluate and recommend future tech stack improvements for scalability, maintainability, and developer experience.
Machine Learning & Data Strategy Define and execute a roadmap to introduce machine learning capabilities, in partnership with a future data science function. Deliver ML-powered features such as: Neural network–based recommendation systems for personalized shopping. Predictive analytics for churn reduction, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization. Computer vision for style classification and automated product tagging. Implement MLOps best practices for deployment, monitoring, and retraining models. Ensure our data architecture supports rapid experimentation and iteration.
Operational Excellence Partner with Product, Customer Support, and Operations to align engineering priorities with business goals. Establish engineering best practices around code quality, testing, deployment, and documentation. Define AI best practices for development workflows: coding, testing, deployment, and documentation. Proactively address technical debt and scaling challenges. Define and track KPIs for delivery velocity, system performance, and team health.
What You Bring 8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in engineering leadership (Sr. Manager or Director level). Proven success leading full-stack development teams in high-traffic, data-driven environments. Deep experience with modern cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) and CI/CD pipelines. Experience building or integrating AI/ML-powered features into production systems. Familiarity with subscription business models, personalization, or recommendation engines. Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus).
