Job Description

Build membership!

Create, promote, and conduct revenue-generating youth and adult instructional and recreational sports programs, leagues, camps, clinics, and trainings.

Teach, hire, train outstanding fitness instructors for adult exercise and wellness programs to support membership.

Maintain fitness center, gym, aerobics studio, and respective equipment to ensure positive membership experiences.

Be a strong contributor to the professional staff team and department leader.

Qualifications

Experience in sports management, programming, camps, fitness, facility maintenance, and overall wellness.

Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Relevant degree, certifications, and experience.

Essential Functions

This director is responsible for wellness, fitness, and sports programs, membership sales, and services. A key focus is on the development and retention of YMCA members (youth, teens, adults, seniors) and service to them while growing programs with promotional endeavors and clean facilities. Hire and supervise staff, teach classes, run leagues and programs, secure facility rentals, and support day camp with sports camps and clinics. High-energy, multi-skilled person who can work with a team of 6 full-time directors is our ideal candidate.
